Daniel F. Kovacic has been the Minister of Music and Organist at St. Winifred since September 2017.
Daniel is a 2007 graduate of Seton Hill University with his Bachelor of Music Degrees in Music Education and Sacred Music. He studied voice with Dr. Curt Scheib, organ with Mr. Edgar Baird Highberger, and piano with Ms. Nancy Gorinski. Daniel completed his Master of Music in Choral Conducting from West Virginia University in 2013. Daniel served as the Choral Department Graduate Assistant, along with the roles as Assistant Conductor for the West Virginia Community Chorus and University Singers, and Women's Chorale. He also served as accompanist for the Woman's Chorale and Director of the Same Difference Jazz Ensemble.
Daniel has performed as a baritone soloist for numerous organizations including Trinity United Presbyterian Church (Uniontown), St. Valentine Church (Bethel Park), Blessed Sacrament Cathedral (Greensburg), Greensburg Diocesan Choir, Seton Hill University Choir, and Westmoreland Choral Society. Daniel also served as the Associate Conductor of the Beesontown Singers, Uniontown, PA, from 2013-2015.
Daniel serves as an officer for the Board of Directors of the National Pastoral Musicians Pittsburgh Chapter as Director of the DMMD (Director of Music Ministries) Division and previously served a term as Director of Recruitment. Daniel also serves as a member of the Steering Committee of the National Pastoral Musicians in the Chant Division.
