Junior High Faith Formation

Junior High Faith Formation is made up of two parts.  The First part is Faith Formation classes held twice a month from 6:30-8:00pm.  Classes begin with a gather segment in Benedict Hall, that jump starts the evening.  This is a 2-year-cycle so our teens will recieve all the diocesan required topics in the time-span before Confirmation.  The second part is service and social.  The youth will have the opportunity to do a service activity and/or social activity once a month.  Check out the schedule of events for both sections. 

St. Winifred is a "youth friendly community that welcomes young people,  values their participation and calls forth their gifts.  Actively supporting positive youth development and fostering healthy values and life skills are priorities.  Youth Ministry recognizes the opportunity to connect young people with the faith community can call them to challenge of discipleship.  The faith, gifts, energy and fresh ideas of youth are embraced. 

Youth Ushers are needed to help take up the second collection for the youth programs.  This collection is done once a month.  If you are interested contact Dana

Readers, Singers, Welcomers, Gatherers are needed to help with Children Liturgy.  Children Liturgy is a way to provide opportunity for young childen to grow and become rooted in their faith.  Youth are needed to help read the readings, welcome them to their Liturgy and help them up and down the stairs.  If you are interested in helping out, contact Dana.
