St. Winifred's Early Learning Center

When is the Early Learning Center open?

The Center is open from September to May, Monday thru Friday.   Hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

How old does my child have to be to attend the Early Learning Center?

We accept children ages 3-6 years old who have mastered toileting.

Can my child come part-time?

Full and part time sessions are available for children enrolled in the Montessori program. Children not enrolled at Montessori may attend part time 4 hours or less.

What will my child experience?

The Early Learning Center offers a social, educational, and spiritual environment where young children are encouraged to interact with their peers and teachers.  Our program helps each child express their individuality and creativity by appropriate activities and experiences.  We welcome children of all faiths.  Our daily schedule includes free play, circle time, snack, outdoor play if weather permits, art activities, and gross motor play.

How much does it cost to attend?

Registration is a yearly fee of $45.00 per family and our rates are affordable. 

Can my child attend Mt. Lebanon Montessori School as well as the Early Learning Center?

The Early Learning Center is located in an adjacent building to the Mt. Lebanon Montessori on the St. Winifred campus.  We offer a pick-up and drop-off service to and from the school.

Do you provide lunch and snacks?

Lunch and snacks are provided by the parents of the children attending the Center. 

Who runs the Early Learning Center?

Debbie Finnerty is the coordinator of the Center.  The staff is experienced and trained in a variety of related fields and have worked with a wide variety of children.  The staff consists of certified teachers and program assistants.
