All couples are required to take a Pre-Marriage Preparation class. All

PRE-MARRIAGE PREPARATION

Along with setting the date, the priest will provide an initial contact for  the marriage preparation program.  We provide several options for our engaged couples.  The first step is to schedule an appointment with one either our pastor or deacon and a list of marriage preparation options will be made available.  Each year we sponsor a one day Marriage Prep Day.  Keep open 1st Friday and Saturday of October open for St. Winifred Marriage preparation classes.  For more information contact Dana Mahr at 412-563-1414 or stwinifredym@gmail.com

CATHOLIC- BUT NOT MARRIED IN THE CHURCH?

To obtain the Churches blessing of a marriage that was not Catholic can be relatively easy.  Regardless of why couples marry outside the Church and later seek the church's blessing, the benefits of convalidation are enormous: peace of heart, oneness with the church, reception of the Sacrament of Matrimony and God's special blessing upon the marriage.  Contact the pastor or Deacon to discuss the situation and determine what must be done.
