We the parishioners of Saint Winifred are a community that strives to give witness to Jesus Christ and embody His presence in the daily lives of those with whom we live. We live our faith with others through full participation in prayer rooted in the Sacred Liturgy of the Universal Roman Catholic Church.

The Season of Advent is here again. Traditionally, this is the beginning of the new liturgical year in the church as well as the season of preparation for the great Feast of Christmas. This is meant to be a joyful season of hope in which we grow more hopeful as the days will soon begin to get longer once again. Our major symbol for the season, the Advent Wreath, will grow brighter with each of the four candles we light. So, as a parish family, I am asking each of us to "Lighten up" this season, to grow brighter with the presence of Christ in our lives. Each week, we will try to meet a new challenge on this journey: be prayerful, be watchful, be joyful and be faithful. As we grow brighter with the light of Christ, we make the world around us grow brighter and more joyful. Let us all "lighten up"! Join us at Saint Winifred as we make this season a joyful, prayerful season of faith, hope, love and welcome.
Our annual Angel Tree is on display at the back of the church. Each 'angel' represents one of 200+ children whose families are registered with our St. Winifred Food Pantry. You can take an angel and get a gift for the child described on the back. Gift cards are welcome especially for the older children. Unwrapped gifts should be brought back to church by Wednesday, December 11. Please keep these 'angels' and their families in your prayers.
