Who is St. Winifred?

Roman Catholic Church

Founded December 8, 1960

to serve the communities of
Castle Shannon, Baldwin Township
and Mt. Lebanon

Church Mission

The Parish of St. Winifred is a worshipping community within the Diocese of Pittsburgh, rooted in the religious tradition of the universal Roman Catholic Church. In recognition of our unique, familial foundation, we as a community intend to give witness to, enhance, and embody the presence of Jesus Christ in the daily lives of those within the Parish and those beyond its boundaries. We strive to do this especially through our celebration of the sacred liturgy and prayer; through our programs, activities, and educational endeavors; through our efforts to aid and console those in need; through shared responsibility; and, through our relationships within our families and among one other.

"Where two or three are gathered....there am I" (Mt. 18:20)

Directions

DIRECTIONS TO BENEDICT HALL (AT ST. WINIFRED CHURCH):

AED Acquired

An Automated External Defibrillator is now available in the Church vestibule (beyond the glass doors of the main entrance).

An AED is a small, portable device, attached to a person's chest with wires, that checks the person's heart rhythm, decides if that rhythm is "off," and gives the heart an electric shock (called a defibrillating shock) that restores the correct, natural rhythm.
